Biography and Statement of Intent

“I am an experienced and pragmatic professional who, during my 30 year career, has held several senior positions of responsibility working within multi-cultural business environments.

At this time I feel I could bring a fresh pair of eyes to the IAPA Board, combined with a deep understanding of cultural exchange programs and of the challenges facing independent agency owners and their representatives.

With eight years experience as Senior Vice President of Au Pair in America, I am very familiar with the issues and opportunities facing our industry and am keen to play an active part in ensuring continuous improvement in the way we operate – and in the life-changing experiences we offer young people from around the world.

My earlier 22 year career working within the airline industry included exposure to sales, marketing and procurement functions. These have provided me with a keen eye for innovation combined with a strong sense of the importance of robust and structured business practises. I believe these qualities would add real value to the activities of the IAPA Board and, in turn, to IAPA members.

If elected I would set out to play an active part in ensuring that IAPA is addressing the key issues which ensure that the safety and security of every one of our participants is fully protected so that they have the best life experience on our programs.”
