Welcome new affiliate Member House-o-Orange Au Pair RSA !

We are pleased to welcome our latest Affiliate Member House-o-Orange RSA from South Africa.

House-o-Orange RSA is located in the Western Cape, 30 km from Cape Town in the charming coastal village of Melkbosstrand, South Africa. House-o-Orange RSA is an affiliate of House-o-Orange Au Pairs in The Hague, The Netherlands and was started in 2009 to enable their Dutch office to control the quality of au pairs coming from South Africa.

The agency recruits applicants from all over South Africa and Namibia  to offer them the opportunity to enhance their international experience while working with children and experiencing a new culture abroad.

Their main program includes the recruitment, screening and training of au pairs to The Netherlands, USA and Belgium but they are eager to add France, Germany, Canada, Colombia and more to that list.
The office is run by a dedicated team comprised of Susan Beere (Office manager) and Elandi Loock (Program manager) and they are vigilant about recruiting the best possible candidates for the different au pair countries worldwide. This goal is reached  by checking all references, conducting personal interviews and by offering a mandatory two-day in house training course for all candidates. The training course includes basic first aid, Educare, role-play as well as learning about the culture of the country they are going to.

Candidates are always either native English speaking or have excellent English language skills, speak native to good Afrikaans (which is close to German and Dutch) are non-smokers and have plenty of childcare experience. Families can select between drivers or non-drivers and all of their candidates are expected to be able to ride a bicycle.
