Policy work

IAPA serves to give a voice to our members and, where necessary, lobby politicians to support our members.

Representing our members

We put across the views of the Cultural Exchange program au pair to intergovernmental  organizations as well as national governments.

A facilitator for the industry

We can bring local and national stakeholders to the table to discuss specific issues relating to the sector.

Support for individual members

On a more local scale, we can provide members with letters of support when they need it to lobby local authorities. Such applications are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Endorsement

We can endorse members as trusted members of IAPA. Candidates for membership have to prove that they are in a solid financial situation and that they agree to abide by our code of conduct.

If members break the Code of Conduct or fail to pay their fees, they may be disaffiliated. This ensures that we can endorse our members with confidence.

National Associations

IAPA actively encourages the formation of national au pair associations.
