The 12th edition of the IAPA Au Pair of the Year Award has again provided us with great stories that were shared with us through our member agencies.

After reviewing the 46 host family essays, all describing their rewarding experiences with their au pair, we have now selected our three finalists IAPA Au Pair of the Year 2016 Award.

Currently we are in the process of reading the stories the finalists have sent to us, in order to select our winner!

Robert Isemer

“Robert was instrumental in providing natural supports for Alex to be an active part of family, school, and community. Robert was an extremely active participant in Alex’s schoolwork. Robert researched methodologies and implemented them to modify Alex’s curriculum so Alex could better participate in the general education classroom, versus in a segregated setting.

Anna Mathilda Ljung

“Mathilda is our 6th Au Pair and after having 5 amazing ladies we are a hard family to dazzle yet she has blown us away. Mathilda is intelligent, kind, caring, thoughtful and calm under pressure.  In short, she is an incredible Au Pair for our family, especially our 9-year old twins, Sydney and Joshua.

Hugo Didrik Emanuel Lindberg

“He slipped right into our family as if he always has been with us. Not even three months in, and we aren’t quite sure what will happen when we lose a key family member next year. Imagine that your child is in his or her final year of high school and about to head off to college, leaving a hole in the family dynamic – that’s what will happen when Didrik leaves.
